"Sur le pond d'avignon, on y danse on y danse"

Wow, this group is amazing! We were up at 6am, bags packed, ate our last breakfast in Paris, and departed for our new adventure to Avignon! We ventured via coach to the Gare de Lyon and boarded the high speed TGV train to Avignon. The train ride was beautiful and smooth and we got to enjoy the vast country side. It was a quick departure getting off the train, and I was super impressed by the quick action and hustle of managing the baggage and not forgetting a thing on board! We then boarded the coach for Avignon. As we walked through the city's archway we were all in shock and awe of the sheer history that spoke to us as we turned each corner. We were led through Avignon by our guide Sylviane who shared a wealth of knowledge about the Papal Palace and the Pond D'Avignon. We finished the 3 hour tour by singing the famous song and dancing in circles on the actual bridge itself. It was quite the sight! We then boarded the coach and headed to Montpellier. We enjoyed a great meal at the hotel, explored Montpellier, and are looking forward to our 'petit train' tour tomorrow to check out the magnificent historical sights. Tomorrow afternoon we will discover the medieval city of Carcassonne, then travel by coach to BARCELONA! I absolutely adore this group and am really looking forward to Spain! Sweet dreams. Xo Devon
