Day one! What a success!

Bonjour Family and Friends!
Well day one has come to an end and we are safe, settled in, and loving Paris! We had a smooth flight, made our connection with perfect timing, and arrived at our wonderfully located hotel which is directly beside the Eiffle Tower. We enjoyed out new favourite meal (crapes with Nutella and bananas) beside the Champs-Élysées, and in direct view of L'Arc de Triomphe and the magnificent Tour Eiffle.  We then dropped off or luggage and jumped on the metro to check out the area called Montmartre.  Montmartre is the highest point in Paris, it's tightly packed houses spiralling round the mound below the dome of Sacre-Coeur.  We climbed the stairs (in the rain), and toured around the beautiful church. Everyone was a wonderful sport, even though they were tired and jet legged, and got into the groove of the start of our wonderful adventure! More Nutella crapes were enjoyed and we took the metro home to have a much needed shower. After a nap we enjoyed dinner and took the metro home to be welcomed by the twinkling Eiffle Tour at our hotel doorstep. Check out some pics of the great group I'm lucky to be representing.
